Avoid paying speeding fines. Have a look at our top tips!

1. Always know the speed limit on the stretch of road you’re on. It’s so easy to drive along and not realise the speed limit has changed. Be aware of things around you, and look out for signs announcing a change of speed limit.

2. Don’t be distracted by other things going on around you. Focus on what you are doing, which is driving. Don’t focus on your passengers or the radio or the phone or eating your sandwich because you’ve not had time to stop for lunch. Once you start to stay focused, it’s easy to stay alert and keep within the speed limits.

Justice On The Cheap?

The number of paralegals entering the legal profession has doubled in the last decade, and is set to rise even further. Recent figures show an increase from 24,509 in 2001, to 51,250 today – a rise of 109%.

In addition, the Regulator of the Institute of Legal Executives is currently consulting on a proposal to grant extended rights of audience in court to “Associate Prosecutors”, who won’t be required to have any legal qualifications.

Tweet Tweet, Away With The Birds

News that Ford UK is planning to fit new cars with technology allowing hands-free ‘tweeting’ will no doubt receive a mixed reception. The technology – already in some American Ford cars – is due to be installed here in Britain in 2011, initially in the Ford Focus. Fiat, Volkswagen and Kia are all set to follow suit.
