Transport Minister Mike Penning has made a nifty announcement about speed cameras, which might just solve a few problems relating to road safety. He wants every local authority and police force in England to supply the Department for Transport with web links to data revealing the number of casualties and collisions at permanent fixed camera sites – both before and after the Gatsos were installed. By 20 July.
